Starting on Thursday 17^th July, we will be offering a weekly steak night every Thursday evening.

All our meat is sourced from Burton's Butchers based in Saffron Walden and all our steaks will be cooked on our brand new ‘Synergy’ chargrill– bringing you all the flavour!

The price includes a choice of 4 different cuts of steak, chunky chips or creamy mash, and a choice of sauce.

There will be other main course choices available, including a vegetarian option, for those who would prefer something a little different.

Our Kitchen Manager, Michael, has been having great fun experimenting behind the scenes with lots of different side dish combinations and sauces to go with the steaks – all of which will be available to add on as extras.

Join us on Wednesday 15^th October for our first wine tasting dinner at The Elm, and what better way to start than with Rathfinny, renowned English sparkling wine producer.

Husband and wife team, Mark and Sarah Driver, established the Rathfinny Wine Estate in2010 on a working arable farm with the express intention of producing some of the world’s finest quality English sparkling wines.

Their vision is about a great deal more than the production of outstanding Sussex Sparkling wine. Rathfinny aims to contribute something special to the unique spirit of place in this beautiful part of the South Downs, which has been farmed since medieval times.

The dinner event will be hosted by Richard James, Brand Ambassador for Rathfinny, and we promise it will be a most informative and fun evening!
